Home Reading

The only homework sixth grade students have for LA/SS is 30 minutes of home reading in a book of their choice.  If they choose to read the same books they are reading in class during reader's workshop, no documentation is required.  However, if a student chooses to read a different book at home, a note of that book title with a parent signature is requested for confirmation of the reading.  If a student cannot read for 30 minutes at home one evening, he/she is welcome to make up that time later in the week.  We just ask for a parent signature to confirm that the student read those additional minutes.
